What’s next for Gary Sánchez in the Major Leagues in 2021?

The Dominican catcher comes off a difficult 2020 season, with the decision to place him in the postseason elicited different reactions.

The Dominican must make sure that, despite never knowing what happened, the team trusts him again and can win the position, without doubting what could happen.

He’s got the talent, he’s got the bat and it wouldn’t be the first time a catcher has made up for a lack of attack, with very good defense behind the plate and that’s what he needs to improve.

Gerrit Cole has had a career 2.46 ERA in his career Robinson Chirinos, who just reached a deal with the Yankees. He has been invited for spring training and the contract is minor league.

But it shouldn’t be overlooked that if the Yankees see something they don’t like about Sanchez, another recipient, perhaps Chirinos, can take its place at any time. Their pulse did not flicker to keep the Dominican down in the late season. They will not tremble to do that in 2021.
