Whataburger will officially open its first location in Nashville this fall

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) – Whataburger has officially announced plans to open its first location in Nashville this fall.

The beloved Texas burger chain will open at Hermitage at 5055 Old Hickory Boulevard and plans to open additional locations in the Nashville area by 2022. The company has not disclosed an exact opening date.

Whataburger

NewsChannel 5 that previously taught Middle Tennessee may get five locations in total: Murfreesboro, Gallatin, Lebanon, Madison, and Hermitage.

Whataburger now plans to hire more than 200 employees this year, including positions such as restaurant manager, general manager and regional manager. Hiring team members starts in the summer. Interested parties can click here for more information.

The journey to bring Whataburger back to Middle Tennessee has been long-awaited since the company closed its Nashville franchises in the 1970s.
