What you need to know from Packers’ first week 16 injury report

The Green Bay Packers released their first week 16 injury report on Wednesday afternoon.

The list is 20 players long and includes five players who cannot participate during Wednesday’s practice.

Here’s what else you should know from the injury report as the Packers prepare for the Tennessee Titans:

– Running back Jamaal Williams did not train on Wednesday, so he may run the risk of missing Sunday. He injured his quad against the Carolina Panthers.

– Walking back Aaron Jones has a new toe injury, but was still limited on Wednesday.

– Center Corey Linsley is practicing, but he is not on the injury report because he is still injured. The Packers do not need to include him until he is activated for the selection of 53 men.

Outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith is still struggling with an ankle injury, and now he has thumb and neck injuries. He was limited during practice on Wednesday.

Linebacker Krys Barnes, who left the Packers’ victory over the Panthers after 31 very encouraging snaps due to an eye injury, was considered a full-fledged competitor on Wednesday. He should be okay on Sunday.

– Recipient Allen Lazard is dealing with a new wrist injury but was limited.

– Versatile Defensive Back Will Redmond has a concussion and did not train on Wednesday.

– Three players were on the disease list: tall snapper Hunter Bradley, defensive lineman Anthony Rush and tight end Jace Sternberger. This is worth following, but the Packers didn’t add anyone to the COVID-19 reserve list on Wednesday.

– Sternberger is still on concussion protocol.

Rookie security guard Simon Stepaniak was a full-fledged contestant. The sixth round pick could get closer to making his NFL debut.

Veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis didn’t train on Wednesday, but the Packers treat today like a normal Thursday when Lewis normally gets a day of rest.

– The Titans were without cornerback Adoree Jackson and defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons during Wednesday’s practice.
