West Texas debris blows into Houston thanks to high winds, dusty and hazy conditions

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Friday’s high winds that swept Southeast Texas have eased, but not before dust came in from West Texas and other contiguous states.

While air quality readings across the area are still generally in the moderate (healthy) range, you can see a blur in the sky this morning. Video from Conroe, Houston, and Galveston showed reduced visibility throughout the area.

Once the dust clears, we’ll see clear skies and dry conditions all weekend, before a rainy event is expected next week.
