Next month, things can finally be cleared up – at least, that’s according to Games Beat writer turned industry prophet Jeff Grubb. As part of a podcast, the crystal ball viewer hinted that the Team in Green might be planning some sort of ‘event’ to clear up its plans for the publisher: ‘I don’t know if it’s a full-on, Direct-style event, but they will take note and talk about it [the Bethesda acquisition] Explain in detail what it means to everyone, and talk about the immediate future of both companies becoming one. “
According to Grubb, this is all scheduled for “mid-March” and will be a cornerstone of Microsoft’s marketing efforts this year. It makes sense, given that the Redmond giant is planning Bethesda’s $ 7.5 billion buyout next month, giving it control over the publisher and the freedom to talk more explicitly about its short- and long-term plans.
