Cuban telecommunications company Etecsa has reminded in its social networks that since January 1, 2021, they have a permanent 50% discount on voice and data services via the mobile network. The bonus applies to those who connect from 01:00 AM to 06:00 AM.
While some customers appreciate that this recurring request has been taken into account, others continue to complain the comprehensive or combined voice, SMS and data plans announced in 2020 that have not yet reached Cuba.
“Until when with this? Who’s on the phone at the time? They just released comprehensive voice, text, and data plans,” said one customer, referring to the discounts Etecsa applied at sunrise in Cuba.
The response from the island’s only telecommunications company was as follows: “The consumption patterns of mobile phone users have changed in 2020, reflected in the fact that the traffic of the mobile network has tripled. To meet current consumption patterns, we are redesigning the combined packages, their launch will be in 2021 “.
When the second month of the year is already running, an estimated date for the launch of this service is unknown. It will happen in 2021, they say. But it happens that they promised in June 2020 that these packages would be offered by the end of the year.
