Watch Paul McCartney’s New Music Video For ‘Find My Way’

Paul McCartney has released a video for “Find My Way”, the lead single of his new one McCartney III album.

In the lavish track, Sir Paul sings atop a cheerful drum and guitar groove, with layers of horns, vocal harmonies and percussion emphasizing different points of the melody. Lyrics point to the strange experience of living through 2020, as McCartney sings: “You used to never fear days like this / And now you are overwhelmed by your fears / Let me help you, let me be your guide / I can help you reach the love you feel inside.”

Meanwhile, the video sees McCartney recording every element of the track in his home studio. The clip shows the Beatles icon singing, strumming the guitar, playing the piano and putting a beat behind the drum kit.

McCartney began hinting at a new album in mid-October, as video teasers and cryptic images began appearing on social media, all pointing to the number three. McCartney III is the rocker’s third true solo album, after the 1970s McCartney and 1980s McCartney II, on which he took care of all vocals and instrumental parts himself.

While the new release came as a surprise to many fans, the former Beatle hinted at new material in an August interview GQ. “I feel terribly sorry for all those who have been hit less and, of course, for all those who have lost loved ones, but I was lucky,” explained McCartney as he discussed the COVID-19 pandemic. “I’ve been able to write and get into music, start songs, finish songs. I’ve had to write a few little things and it has given me time to finish some songs where I didn’t find time for until, you know? I’ve been shooting with lots of towels and sanitizers and socializing, which was good because I don’t like not working. “

Despite the pandemic, McCartney has had a busy 2020. In addition to his new material, the rocker is adapting his children’s book High in the clouds in an animated movie for Netflix. A special reissue from 1997 Flaming pie and a 50th anniversary in limited edition of McCartney came out earlier this year.
