MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont Governor Phil Scott and government officials are holding a pandemic press conference Friday morning.

Scott is expected to discuss guidance for holiday gatherings and winter sports. We also expect an update on the distribution of the Pfizer vaccine and possible shipments of the Moderna vaccine.
Last Thursday, Vermont health officials reported 136 new cases of coronavirus for a total of 6,149. A total of 105 people were killed. The percentage of positive seven-day state average is 2.1%. A total of 247,304 tests were conducted, 212 travelers are checked, 11,396 have completed the monitoring and 3,897 have been recovered.
