Doja Cat ruled the 63rd annual GRAMMY Awards with her twice-nominated “Say So” hit. “I haven’t been waiting for this all my life, I’m getting ready,” the rapper said in a voiceover seconds before transforming the stage in downtown Los Angeles into a sea of lasers.

Not a second was wasted when she gave another varied rendition of “Say So”, one of the highlights of 2019 Bright pinkThe performance was part The Matrix and part post-apocalyptic secret agent as she dominated the stage with an intricate choreography apparently inspired by Janet Jackson.
2020 was an important year for Doja Cat, thanks in part to the virality of “Say So”. She later added Nicki Minaj to the remix, which became both rappers’ first No. 1 single and made history as the first collaboration of two female rappers to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 card.
This year’s GRAMMY Awards marked Doja Cat’s very first career nominations: Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
