Was someone or something else in control of them? At least 100 cars will stop operating in England’s shopping center at the same time

As usual, theories of all kinds circulated on social networks, from a phenomenon related to the lunar cycle to an alien invasion.

The authorities of Royston, a town in the county of Hertfordshire, England, are investigating a strange incident that occurred in the Tesco parking lot, a shopping center there,

It was a malfunction in the electrical system of at least 100 vehicles, causing the door locks and remote controls to fail.

“We have received a series of phone calls from citizens who have not had access to their vehicles in the Tesco parking lot (that’s the name of the supermarket in question),” North Herts police said via their Facebook account.

Out of this problem, those units that don’t have an electrical opening, possibly the oldest, came out well.

“For reasons still unknown, there seems to be a problem in this area, opening the cars is not working properly,” explained the local security forces, while assuring at the same time: “An investigation is being conducted by Ofcom., Communications company.”

As it is now, there are still a number of cars in the parking lot that could not be unlocked. And as the days go by, the mystery grows.

As usual, theories of all kinds circulated on social networks, from a phenomenon related to the lunar cycle to an alien invasion. Others, more earthly, associate this inconvenience with a frustrated robbery attempt: criminals often intercept the signal from the cars’ electronic keys and get in without a hitch.

For the time being, there are still dozens of people who have their car parked in the supermarket parking lot for a few days and no one can unlock it.
