A new aspect of Call of Duty: Warzone has been discovered by one player. The only problem is that it’s a feature that serves no purpose at all in the multiplayer shooter grand scheme.
This was found in a new video from YouTube channel TrueGameData Call of Duty: Warzone is a bit of a different experience in private lobbies than public lobbies. What this specifically means is that the way damage is dealt against enemies varies slightly. For the most part, the differences aren’t huge, but it’s still strange to see inconsistencies appear between the two game modes.
Based on TrueGameData’s own research, these variations in damage scores also depend on the weapon you are using and the distance you have from the ones you shoot at. For example, the MP5 in both public and private lobbies deals the same damage when you are 52 meters or more away from enemies. At this point, the weapon damage in private matches is somehow higher than what you’d find in a public game. Some of the other weapons that are said to be like that include the P90 and Striker 45.
It’s worth noting that TrueGameData’s own video acknowledges that this information may be faulty, but they have also conducted extensive testing to verify that what is being claimed is factual. There’s also a chance that Infinity Ward doesn’t even know this is an issue right now and if they are made aware of this, an upcoming patch might be in balance War zone in all types of lobby.
Until that time, Call of Duty: Warzone is currently playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC. If you’d like to keep up with our coverage of the game going forward, you can do so by following our page here.
