Warzone charged with ‘pay-to-win’ with evidence

Call of Duty: Warzone is accused by PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC players of paying to win, and the allegations are reinforced with evidence. In the middle of the claim it is popular CODFISH YouTuber, JGOD, who says there are Black Ops Cold War weapon blueprints that are significantly better than their basic versions. In other words, by purchasing the said blueprints, players can gain the upper hand over players without spending any change.

In the past, Activision and co. have suggested that blueprints do not give players any gameplay advantage, but this claim is now being disputed. JGOD takes up the claim and cites the Gallantry MAC-10, which it says is not only better, but much better than the base version of the gun. Of course, this wouldn’t be a problem if the blueprint for it wasn’t locked behind the game’s Battle Pass, or more specifically, Tier 95 of the Battle Pass. In other words, not only do you have to buy the Battle Pass to get this Blueprint, but you also have to grind to get it.

According to JGOD, the blueprint improves the damage of the weapon, the speed of the hipfire and the recoil. Meanwhile, one of the game’s recent patches that fixed the MAC-10’s headshot damage from 40 to 30 didn’t make the same tweak to the Gallantry MAC-10.

Take everything here with a grain of salt, of course. However, as you can see in the video above, JGOD is an excellent case, and it is a case that many players have repeated on social media, game forums and more.

At the time of publication, Activision and co. have not refuted or responded to the video above and the claims it makes in any capacity, and it is very unlikely that this will change. If so, however, we’ll update the story accordingly.

While the waters are now a bit muddy, if not War zone is pay-to-win, there’s no question that the DMR-14 has been way too OP for weeks. That said, it is nerfed again.
