Warriors expect Stephen Curry (illness) to come back into action on Tuesday

Stephen Curry took part in Monday’s entire practice and the Golden State Warriors expect him to return on Tuesday after missing Saturday’s game with illness.

“He’s feeling better today,” said coach Steve Kerr during a video conference. “He was in the whole practice, he was fully involved, so we expect him to play (Tuesday).”

Curry, who averaged 29.9 points per game this season, was removed to the bottom of the lineup for Saturday’s game in which the Warriors lost 102-100 to the Charlotte Hornets.

The other good news for Golden State is that Kerr is optimistic that James Wiseman (wrist) and Kevon Looney (ankle) will play against the New York Knicks after also participating in Monday’s entire practice. The Warriors want to evaluate them during the warm-up and see how they react before making a final decision.

“When they’re both ready to play, they’ll play,” Kerr said of his extensive rotation with both players on the floor. “Obviously we can’t play 12, so I’ll have to make some moves. I won’t say what I’m going to do, I have to talk to our players first, but when Loon and James are active they will play. “

Kerr said he expects Looney to be back in the starting line-up if he can play, having been out of action since spraining his ankle on Feb. 2. Wiseman has been out since January 30.
