Wait, will Halo Infinite be delayed to 2022?

Wait, is Halo infinite is about to be delayed to 2022? The new Halo game was originally scheduled to release Holiday 2020 alongside the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and also through Xbox One and PC, but then it was delayed until the end of 2021. Since the delay, we haven’t seen much of the game after development updates. That said, the game is still slated to release later this year, but now some players are concerned that the game could slide into 2022.

On Twitter, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier recently replied to a tweet suggesting both Halo infinite and Starfield are on track to release this year with an “I don’t know,” which of course they are Halo fans a bit worried. That said, if you have a Halo fan, no need to sound the alarm, at least not yet.

First, it’s unclear whether Schreier’s answer only applies to both games Halo infinite, or just StarfieldIn other words, there’s a chance it won’t even be about it Halo infiniteSecond, it’s unclear how much of this skepticism is based on things Schreier has heard versus his own expectations. Many games have already been delayed from 2021 to 2022, and I know at least a few more that are on their way to add to the year of delays.

For what it’s worth, several sources – ranging from credible to less than credible – have claimed Starfield comes out this year, which can make Halo infinite the more likely it is that the two will be delayed, but given that Halo infinite would release holiday 2020, it’s hard to imagine sliding all the way to 2022. Not impossible, but that would be a pretty big blunder on the part of Microsoft and 343 Industries.

At the time of publication, none of the above parties have commented on the above speculations. That said, if this changes, we’ll be sure to update the story accordingly.
