Volkswagen says goodbye to Golf made in Mexico

The Volkswagen brand has put an end to production of one of its most iconic cars, the Golf that was produced at its plant in Puebla, Mexico, to make way for a new global strategy for the automaker.

In place of the Golf and after seven years of being manufactured by Puebla’s hands, Volkswagen will begin production of the Taos with modern facilities and space left by the hatchback.

The YouTube broadcast saw the departure of the assembly line of the last Gulf made in Mexico. It should be noted that with the eighth generation of the product, it is still being built in Germany.

Golf and all its generations have made this afternoon a very special trip in a caravan around the capital Puebla.
