According to data released Saturday, more than 600,000 first and second doses of coronavirus vaccine were administered in Britain over a 24-hour period.
Official figures showed that 119,306 first doses and 485,421 second doses were given on Friday. The data also showed that an additional 35 people had died from the virus within 28 days of a positive test, and 2,206 people had tested positive.
In the past seven days, daily deaths were 29% lower than in the previous week, while the number of cases decreased by 6.5%.
