As of February 19, Virginia has reported 559,930 cases of the Commonwealth coronavirus as of March 2020.
On Friday, a total of 1,471,242 vaccines were administered in Virginia, with 393,306 people fully vaccinated, VDH said.

According to the health department, decreases in cases can be attributed to a person being tested in a place other than where they live, or the automation process for electronically reported lab results can indicate the wrong jurisdiction for a particular zip code.
Friday, the Virginia Dept. of Health reported a total of 7,204,657 test meetings.
The term “testing encounters” includes individuals who have been tested more than once because of their occupation, risky status, or need for a negative result to return to work. The health department started using this statistic on May 1. Click here for more information.
