Sandra Scully, the wife of iconic Los Angeles broadcaster Vin Scully, has passed away at the age of 76 after battling Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Sandra died at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles after years of battling ALS.

Born in Virginia, the Cascade is survived by baseball commentator Hall of Fame, 93, whom she was married to for 48 years after they married in November 1973.
The couple had one child together, Catherine, and were the parents of five children from previous marriages, according to the AP. They have 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Vin told the AP last summer about his wife’s health struggles: “She’s really inspiring, her faith is extremely important and I think that’s a major reason why she quit.”
