VIDEO AND PHOTOS. Mexican actor who rose to fame in children’s films was released from prison after serving a 20-year sentence

He was baptized as “Thumbelina” in the 1950s, after playing that character in a class B movie that made him immortal. You wouldn’t believe what crimes he was convicted for in 2002.

He served a sentence of 18 years, 4 months and 15 days after being found guilty of several crimes on April 30, 2002. The trial took place in Mérida, Yucatán, and the prosecutor was none other than his second wife. Cesáreo Quezadas never thought he would end up behind bars and, despite the evidence from the accusing party, he insists he is innocent.

According to reports from the program “Ventaneando”, the 71-year-old actor recently regained his freedom and when he approached him, he said he felt mixed feelings. He felt not only joy in enjoying freedom again, but also insecurity and anger, as he assures that the crimes accused of him never happened.

And boy, his ex-wife Claudia’s allegations are harsh, as the famous children’s artist of the 50s and 60s was prosecuted for rape, rape and child pornography to the detriment of five of his six children.

Cesáreo Quezadas came forward in the film industry from Mexico as the protagonist of the movie “Thumbelina” – from the director, actor, producer, screenwriter, screenwriter and film editor of the Golden Age René Cardona – in 1957. His angelic face and innocence soon made him a regular star of the genre childish.

He also performed alongside “El Niño Nightingale” from Spain, Joselito, and the Spanish actress and singer Marisol.

For at least a decade, Quezadas managed to star in Mexican cinema, until his appearance began to change and vacancies stopped appearing. Faced with a lack of work, the actor plunged into the world of crime and fell out of favor after committing a robbery in early 1971.

Afraid of committing murder (which in the end was not the case), he turned himself in to the authorities and confessed to his crime. After this event he got his last chance to work in the cinema in 1973: “Nosotros los ugly” by director Ismael Rodríguez.

Then he would make the news again, after being accused by his second wife, with whom he had two children – with the first he had four. The designer and photographer discovers a video in which Quezadas appears sexually assaulting one of her three daughters, an audiovisual film that played a key role in the judicial process that ended in her imprisonment.

After his release, the Mexican assured that everything was created to accuse him and that none of what was credited to him is true. The former child stars paid his sentence at the Merida Rehabilitation Center, according to notes published in various local media outlets.
