Vanessa Bryant has slammed Meek Mill over his leaked song that refers to Kobe Bryant’s tragic helicopter crash.
The leaked song “Don’t Worry” features fellow rapper Lil Baby and includes the lyrics, “If I ever lack, I’ll go out with my choppa, it’s another Kobe.”
Fans expressed all their anger on the line, and now the late NBA star’s widow has taken to Instagram to call the words “ disrespectful. ”
“Dear @meekmill, I find this rule extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period, ”Vanessa, 38, wrote in her Instagram story late Monday. “I’m not familiar with your music, but I believe you can do better than this.”
She continued, “If you’re a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact. “
Mill, 33, previously shot critics who shouted at him in a bizarre response, tweeting, “Someone is promoting a story and you guys are following it … your internet antics can’t stop me … not like zombie land or something! Lol.”
He later added, “They’re paying to influence you now … it’s almost like mind control ‘waking up’.”
In January 2020, Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were among nine people who were killed in a helicopter crash in California. The NBA superstar was 41 years old.
Kobe is survived by Vanessa and their daughters Natalia, 18, Bianka, 4, and Capri, 1.
