To test

UDOH reports that a total of 2,257,389 Utahns have been tested so far, which is an increase of 6,185 people tested since yesterday.

Of these, a total of 375,669 tested positive for COVID-19. That’s up from 560 new positive cases since Monday’s report.

The seven-day moving average for positive tests is 529 per day.

The seven-day moving average for the percentage of positivity of ‘people over people’ is 8.8%. The seven-day moving average for the percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 4.24%.

Hospital admissions

There are currently 187 people hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 73 of those people are in intensive care. Another 23 patients are hospitalized with suspected cases of COVID-19.

Utah ICUs are 66.2% occupied. The IC beds in the state referral centers are 67.3% full.

Referral centers are the 16 hospitals in Utah that can provide the best care for patients with COVID-19. Because most patients are transferred to these facilities, their usage best reflects actual hospital capacity in Utah when looking at IC beds.
