The number of doses of Covid vaccines administered in the US increased by 1.25 million on Monday, a daily record profit amid a further slow rollout of the shots.
Bloomberg counts vaccine doses administered in the US and around the world, and gathers data from state vaccine reports and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Because the CDC and some states do not report on weekends, Monday’s count includes catching up from previous days.

Since the US began administering vaccines on Dec. 14, 9.27 million doses have been given and at least 379,862 people have received their second injection. Early vaccination efforts have targeted health workers, but complaints about the slow pace have prompted some governors running the programs to expand them to more groups.
