Out-of-state travelers craving California may soon be in luck. A series of policy changes indicate that California will soon be able to allow out-of-state guests who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to visit Southern California’s many theme parks.
As noted by Twitter user Leslie Harvey, California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy was updated without much fanfare on April 19.

An addendum to the document states that “fully vaccinated individuals from out of state may attend or attend activities or events that are restricted to visitors in the state.” Currently, both Disneyland Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood fall into the Tier 3 / Moderate category, allowing guests to visit theme parks in the state.

Disneyland Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood have not yet announced changes to their ticket sales policies, but Sea World San Diego, which reopened April 12, now allows out-of-state guests to provide proof of full vaccination.
Universal Studios Hollywood reopened on April 16. Disneyland Resort will reopen on April 30.
