Democratic Congressman from New York Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Monday on Instagram in an emotional video of surviving a sexual assault in which he confessed to having feared for his life during the attack on the Capitol on January 6.
Blaming conservatives opposed to the impeachment of the former US President Donald Trump In encouraging the violence that led to this attack, the symbol of the American progressive left likened them to “abusers.”
“They’re trying to tell us to move on to something else without being accountable, without telling the truth, or without extreme harm, loss of life, or trauma,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“I am a survivor of an assault and I have not told many people in my life,” the politician added, comparing parliamentarians who “want to go to something else” after the attack on Capitol with the denial tactics used by bullies.
“As a survivor, I struggle with the idea of being believed,” he added without giving details of the attack. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, known as AOC, explained in the live video the fear she felt during the attack on the Capitol and how to hide. “I thought I was going to die,” he said.
The Deputy’s confession, which has been viewed more than 350,000 times, was praised for her courage and honesty.
Deputy Katie Porter explained to MSNBC that she loaned her a pair of sneakers during the attack in case she had to ‘run for her life’. AOC replied, “I just hope I can become a mother. I hope I don’t die today.”

This week, Ocasio-Cortez rejected Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz, who approved his criticism of the Robinhood trading app. “I’m delighted to be working with Republicans on this issue where there are common ground, but three weeks ago they almost got me killed so they can just sit back,” she tweeted.
