United States: Covid vaccine is available in drugstores – US and Canada – International

Thousands of pharmacies in the United States will be able to offer vaccines against covid-19 starting Feb. 11, as part of efforts to rapidly increase the number of doses applied to the burgers.

White House Covid-19 Response Coordinator Jeff Zients said that due to supply constraints, the program will initially target 6,500 pharmacies across the country, but it will eventually grow to 40,000.

“This will make more sites available for people to be vaccinated in their communities and this is an important part of fair vaccination,” he explained.

The program takes care of that people make appointments at pharmacies to get their doses, as the priority group to which they belong is eligible.

To date, more than 32.2 million injections have been given in the country, with just under 6 million people already taking the necessary two doses of Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, according to official data.

After initial bottlenecks, states are increasing their vaccine delivery rate the federal government is working with manufacturers to increase supply.

Biden’s government has set a target of delivering 150 million doses in the first 100 days, reaching by April.
