Unión Eléctrica de Cuba clarifies doubts about the request for tariff change from consumers of non-state forms of management ›Cuba› Granma

As part of the ordering task implementation process, which began on January 1 of this year, consumers belonging to non-state forms of management have the option to determine the rate at which electricity consumption is billed monthly, according to the Unión Eléctrica (UNE) .

In a statement from the UNE, to opt for this service, it is necessary that users do not have bills pending payment of the electricity service.

To start the process, the consumer must appear at the commercial office of his territory with the following documents: identity card; document certifying you as an employee in a form of non-governmental management; and details of the bank account to which the invoice amount will be debited.

In the UNE’s commercial offices across the country, the process of applying for a tariff change will begin as soon as they are published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cuba.

From then on, and in accordance with the requirements outlined above, the non-state management employee can begin the process of hiring with the company.

“There is no need to install an extra meter in the house where the work of the worker takes place,” the information from the UNE said.
