Another 57% drop in sales

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was unable to continue his position at the top of the UK sales charts as FIFA 21 takes first place for the week ending December 26, 2020. The top 10 list of the UK’s largest physical sellers includes the usual suspects for the past seven days, with Ubisoft’s Viking RPG slipping into second place, while Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War slipping into fifth place. There’s no movement whatsoever for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, again in sixth place, but CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 drops back to eighth place quite significantly. It was the third best-selling game in the UK last week.
What makes this result interesting is that the data in question pertains to the first full week that the controversial title was only physically available for PlayStation 4 after Sony pulled the digital version from PlayStation Store. In any case, in the United Kingdom, this has not led to an increase in boxed copies as sales fell by a further 57%. However, the game can still be purchased digitally on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC.
