UK charts: FIFA 21 regains the top spot and switches titles despite a week-over-week of declining sales

EA’s FIFA 21 took top place in the UK charts for the week ending December 26, dethroning the previous top dog, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. FIFA 21 sold 8% more physical copies compared to last week.

The controversial Cyberpunk 2077 dropped to eighth place (last week was third), and several evergreen Switch titles also saw their sales decline, but unlike the CD Projekt title, they rose in the charts instead of falling.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons shot from fifth to third, despite a 20% drop in sales from last week. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also jumped to fourth place on the chart, although it sold 8% less than last week. Ubisoft’s Just Dance 2021 lost 28% of sales, but rose to seventh place just like one place Super Mario 3D All-Stars (up to ninth, despite a 25% slump) and the Switch version of Minecraft (to tenth of eleventh after week-on-week loss of 26% of sales).
