UFC fans have been waiting patiently for the welterweight bout between champion Kamaru Usman and challenger Gilbert Burns, with the planned fight already being scrapped twice. That patience will pay off on Saturday as the time has finally come for the duo to finally compete for the welterweight championship as they star in the UFC APEX Las Vegas card in the main event of UFC 258. Usman will make the third defense of the tire he won against Tyron Woodley in March 2019, driving a winning streak of 16 fights, including title defense victories over Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. In Burns, Usman faces a former teammate who has won six fights in a row to earn his shot at the title.

In the evening’s co-main event, Maycee Barber and Alexa Grasso meet in a battle to improve their position in the women’s flyweight division.
