We have Ryu and his buddies from the street fighter series in numerous fighting games such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the SNK titles over the years, but this latest crossover is slightly different.
Rather than one more fighting game, this time he’s transported to the world of Fortnite next to Chun-Li. To celebrate this partnership, Epic has released a special trailer in which the character Jonsey enters the Street Fighter universe and drops the two video game veterans onto the battlefield.
According to the Fortnite website, both fighters are now available in the Item Shop. Each comes with an alternative outfit:
Master of the Dragon Punch (aka “SHORYUKEN!”) Hailing from Japan, Ryu is ready to fight. Choose between his traditional white gi, black belt and red headband or Battle variant. Always ready for action, the Ryu Outift comes equipped with the Training Bag Back Bling and the built-in Shoryuken! Emote. “
In addition to Ryu, the self-proclaimed “Strongest Woman in the World”, Chun-Li, is ready to let the competition kneel in front of her. Players are sure to get (many, many) kicks from the Chun-Li Outfit and Nostalgia Variant. One of the best arcade games of games, she is equipped with the Super Cab-Masher Back Bling and built-in Lightning Kick! Emote. Complete her look with the Seven Star Flashing Flail Pickaxe (sold separately). “
The Ryu & Chun-Li Bundles also include the “Player Select! “Loading screen. Separately, the Ryu & Chun-Li Gear Bundle includes the Sumo Torpedo Glider and two Pickaxes: the Seven Star Flashing Flail and Signpost Pummeler Pickaxes.”
