Two NYC women arrested on an American Airlines flight

Two Bronx women diverted an American Airlines flight for their “disturbing and unacceptable” behavior – including spitting at a passenger asking them to stop making racist remarks.

Kelly Pichardo, 30, and Leeza Rodriguez, 29, were aboard Flight 776 from Dallas-Fort Worth to Los Angeles on Wednesday when a male passenger asked them to stop using the offensive language in conversations, CBS DFW reported.

Pichardo spat at the man, who then began recording them, Phoenix Police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune after the plane was diverted to the Sky Harbor International Airport of the city of Arizona.

Rodriguez was also charged with beating the man in the hand to stop him from recording, Fortune said.

“Upon arrival, the flight was met by local law enforcement officers who removed and arrested two people for verbal and physical abuse of other customers and flight crew members,” Derek Walls, American Airlines representative, told The Post in an email.

“Their behavior was disturbing and unacceptable, and they have been placed on the internal refusal list pending further investigation. We are continuing to investigate this incident and are working directly with affected customers to ensure their well-being, ”the airline said.

Rodriguez was also accused of slapping the man on the hand to stop him from recording.

“We thank our crew members for their professionalism in managing a difficult situation,” he added.

Rodriguez has been charged with assault and disorderly conduct, while Pichardo is charged with disorderly conduct, the news outlet said.

The flight later continued on to Los Angeles and arrived without incident.
