For the last few recent events, Apple has used hash flags, which are small icons next to hashtags on Twitter, as a way to market its events. The company first started the tradition with “#AppleEvent” at the iPad Air and Apple Watch event in September and has maintained it ever since.
For the upcoming event on April 20, the hash flag mimics the colorful event logo used on Apple’s invitations and other promotional materials for next week’s event.
