Trump’s Mar-a-Lago was partially shut down after COVID outbreak

Former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort has been partially closed due to a coronavirus outbreak.

Both the beach club and the à la carte dining room were closed on Friday after a number of employees were hit by the deadly virus. The Palm Beach Club banquet hall and other event services will remain open for the time being.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we quarantined some of the workers and partially closed part of the club for a short time,” a person familiar with the club’s workings told The Post, explaining the outbreak confirmed.

Trump has lived in Mar-a-Lago since he left the White House in January. His wife Melania Trump and son Barron are there with him. All three have already recovered from corona virus infections last year.

Members were notified of the outbreak in an email obtained from the local Palm Beach Post.

“We have already taken all appropriate measures in accordance with CDC guidelines, including activating a thorough decontamination and cleaning of all affected areas and all club facilities, and we will continue with our increased environmental clean-up regime,” the message read.
