Lin Wood’s pro-Trump attorney prediction that Vice President Mike Pence could be “executed by firing squad” for “treason,” prompts Trumpworld to try again to distance itself from the Atlanta attorney. Jenna Ellis, a lawyer for the Trump campaign, declared in a tweet late Friday: “I do not support the statements of lawyer Lin Wood. I support the rule of law and the US Constitution. Wood quashed Pence after his attorneys fought a lawsuit against Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert, who sought to force the vice president to block the counting of election votes for Joe Biden when Congress meets to ratify the election.
Separately, Nicholas Sandmann, the former Covington Catholic High School student who represented Wood in defamation cases against media outlets as a result of coverage of a confrontation at the Lincoln Memorial, linked to Wood’s Pence tweet with the comment, “I’m sorry but who cares.”
