First lady Melania Trump hasn’t been “in Vogue” – or other fashion magazines – nearly enough, President Trump said this week.
No major magazine has mentioned the former model on the cover during her husband’s presidency, prompting the commander-in-chief to air at Christmas about the lack of attention.
He shared a Breitbart News tweet on Christmas Day, complaining that “the elite snobs in the fashion press have kept the most elegant First Lady in American history off their magazine covers for 4 consecutive years.”
Melania Trump is “the best of all time”, Trump added.
In contrast, a Daily Mail count found Michelle Obama graced at least 12 magazine covers during her tenure – including three for Vogue alone.
“First Lady Melania Trump left the White House for Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday in a sleek ensemble with knockout thigh-high leather boots,” gushed Breitbart’s own fashion guru John Binder, alongside footage of the first couple to leave the White House to spend Christmas continue in Mar-a-Lago.
The website also reported that she was wearing a woolen Azzedine Alaïa coat that retails for a whopping $ 6,610.
