Trump says Biden turned southern border into ‘national disaster’

Former President Donald Trump tore the Biden administration on Sunday for turning the migrant crisis on the southern border into a full-blown “ national disaster.

In the statement released Sunday evening, Trump also urged President Biden to complete the construction of a border wall and accused the government of “causing death and human tragedy.”

‘In the time of righteousness [a] For several weeks, the Biden administration has turned a national triumph into a national disaster, ”Trump said in the statement.

“They are well above their heads and absorb water quickly.”

Thousands of migrants have traveled to the US-Mexico border since Trump left office, forcing the Biden administration to begin housing unaccompanied children who entered the US in migrant facilities.

Biden, who has been criticized by Republicans for reversing some of Trump’s border policies, said on Sunday that he plans to visit the southern border “someday”.

Speaking to reporters after returning to the White House from Camp David, Biden said his government is working to ensure that potential migrants seeking asylum in the US do so in their home countries.

Earlier Sunday, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the US would not return unaccompanied children.

In his statement, Trump also destroyed Mayorkas.

“Secretary Mayorkas’ pathetic, ignorant performance on Sunday shows was a national disgrace,” said the former president.

“His smug presentation – in the midst of the tremendous crisis he helped the engineer – proves once again that he is incapable of running DHS.”

Trump added that a wall along the border – which he made a feature of his first presidential campaign – is still needed to secure the international crossing.

“They need to complete the wall immediately, which can happen in a matter of weeks – they should never have stopped it,” Trump said.

“They cause death and human tragedy. Besides the obvious, drugs are pouring into our country at record levels from the Southern Border, not to mention human trafficking and sex trafficking, ”he added.
