Trump curses ‘Son of a B * tch’ McConnell at GOP Donor Event

During this weekend’s Republican National Committee donor retreat in Florida, attendees went to Donald Trump’s private club Mar-a-Lago Saturday night to hear prepared remarks from the twice-deposed former president about the future of his party. Unsurprisingly, Trump sometimes deviated wildly from the script of his pre-written speech, the text of which was revised earlier in the day by The Daily Beast. At the private event, he fought an invalid against Republican, Democratic and famous enemies, again condemning the 2020 presidential election result as “nonsense,” said those in attendance.

[Trump began] curse and tell everyone about the stolen elections, ”said one of those present. The 2020 election was not stolen from Trump, of course, and President Joe Biden decisively defeated the incumbent GOP in both the Electoral College and popular vote count. Trump’s post-election anti-democratic blitz and the lies he and much of the mainstream GOP spread about the election culminated in the deadly January 6 riot at the Capitol, which Trump is now accused of in court papers of sedition.

The source noted that the ex-president made fun of his former VP Mike Pence for not fighting harder to undermine American democracy to keep Trump in power, but specifically concerned Republican minority leader Mitch McConnell in the Senate. This source did not directly respond to questions about specific wording, but according to New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, Trump claimed that “A true leader” would not have sworn for the outcome and certification of Biden’s 2020 victory. Another source familiar with the event told The Daily Beast that former President McConnell was a “stupid bastard” in a non-scripted portion. from his Saturday night address to GOP donors.

And according to Washington Post journalist Josh Dawsey, also Trump made time for it voicing pet grievances about “Oprah Winfrey and Barack Hussein Obama,” and Dr. Accusing Anthony Fauci of being “so full of nonsense”.

In the prepared text for Trump’s retreat, the former president would talk to his adoring crowd about “ ridiculous woke companies, ” the so-called “ AMERICA LAST ” policy agenda, and “ critical race theory, ” among other things. The speech marked yet another example of Trump basking in his continued position as the dominant leader in the party (despite the GOP’s loss of the House, Senate, and White House), trying to get his grip on to preserve the Conservative movement and Republican circles of power and influence. “Saturday’s speech will be welcome words to Republican donors visiting Mar-a-Lago to hear directly from President Trump,” predicted Jason Miller, Trump’s senior adviser, in a statement sent to The Daily earlier today. Beast was sent. “Palm Beach is the new center of political power and President Trump is the Republican Party’s best messenger.”
