Truck stolen during home invasion robbery in rural SLO restored

San Luis Obispo County sheriff officials say a pickup truck stolen last weekend in a robbery of a home invasion in rural San Luis Obispo was left at a gas station in San Jose Wednesday morning.

The robbery was reported Saturday afternoon at a house in the 1700 block of O’Connor Way.

The elderly resident told investigators that the suspect had taken money from her home and stolen her truck.

On the basis of forensic evidence found on the spot, sheriff officials say they were able to identify the suspect as Johnny Jesse Roman Jr., 38, of San Luis Obispo.

An order has been issued for Roman’s arrest. If seen, sheriff officials say you should call 911 immediately.

Sheriff officials say the victim and suspect did not know each other.
