Trevor Lawrence is officially a married man after he tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Marissa Mowry on Saturday.

According to TigerNet.com, the former Clemson star quarterback and Anderson University football alum got married in a chapel in Bluffton, SC.

The ceremony took place nine months after the couple announced their engagement.

Mowry shared photos of the ceremony on Instagram on Sunday.

“My love forever,” Mowry wrote.

Lawrence, the presumed No. 1 pick in this month’s 2021 NFL Draft, opted out of NFL Draft medical tests in Indianapolis last week to prepare for the wedding.

Two days before the wedding, Lawrence and Mowry attended the Masters in Augusta, Georgia, where they were photographed alongside Kansas City Chiefs star strategist Patrick Mahomes.

21-year-old Lawrence proposed to Mowry in July 2020, on Clemson’s home field at Memorial Stadium in South Carolina.

Mowry, also 21, said the field was the “only place” where the couple wanted their “proposal story” to happen.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, following the couple’s engagement in July, Mowry explained: “I know to many it seems like a soccer player is proposing to his girlfriend on the field that he has so many memories of. However, it really is. The choice to go to Clemson has opened the door to our future together. This stadium means so much more than the tangible gifts it has given us, “she continued, later adding,” It’s not just a field or a stadium, but a place that our father used as a vessel through a gift he gave Trevor to help grow our relationship. with him and with each other. ”

Before taking the plunge, Lawrence – who, according to her Instagram, has been with Mowry since early 2016 – celebrated his bachelorette party in Vegas in March.

It’s unclear whether the newlyweds will enjoy a true honeymoon, with the Cleveland NFL Draft scheduled for April 29.

Lawrence, who will be looking at Clemson’s design with friends and family, is also recovering from a torn labrum in his left shoulder, in which he underwent surgery on Feb. 16.

Ahead of his wedding weekend, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that while he is “not 100 percent,” Lawrence’s rehabilitation process is “going very well.”
