Tony Buzbee says he has 12 women filing Deshaun Watson suits

Tony Buzbee, the high-profile Texas attorney who filed seven lawsuits on behalf of Jane Does for sexual assault against NFL star Deshaun Watson, said Friday that he now represents a total of 12 women and has spoken to 10 others about claims against the Texans quarterback.

Buzbee also said Watson’s alleged behavior took place “just this month” and that Houston police have contacted him. Buzbee has had no contact with the Texans.

Watson, 25, publicly denied the initial allegation and hired his own high-profile attorney in Rusty Hardin – who acquitted Roger Clemens in 2012 after the pitcher was accused of lying to Congress when he denied using performance-enhancing drugs. Watson’s agent David Mulugheta responded to the allegations on Friday.

“Sexual violence is real. Victims must be heard, offenders must be prosecuted, ”Mulugheta wrote on Twitter. “Individuals often make up stories to pursue financial gain. Their victims must be heard, and those perpetrators must also be prosecuted. I just hope we keep the same energy with the truth. “
