The crew behind “Mission: Impossible 7” was forced to shut down production earlier this year due to coronavirus regulations and resumed security measures in September.

New leaked audio released by British tabloid The Sun on Tuesday shows franchise star Tom Cruise shouting angrily at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, England, after COVID-19 safety rules were violated.

“And if you don’t, you’ll be fired,” he says in the audio. “I see you doing it again, you’re fucking gone.”

He seemingly goes on to point out several other people, making his point clear to a larger group.

“No excuses,” says Cruise. ‘You can tell the people who are losing their homes because our industry is closed. It won’t put food on their table or pay for their college education. ‘

Two sources close to production confirmed to Variety that it was Cruise’s voice on the recording.

Representatives from Cruise and Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider.

A statement under a section for COVID-19 health and safety information on the Warner Bros. website. Studios in Leavesden says that “the well-being of our customers and colleagues is our primary concern.”

“I’m on the phone at night with every goddamn studio, insurance companies, producers, and they watch us and use us to make their movies,” Cruise says in The Sun’s audio. “We’re creating thousands of jobs, you bastards.”

At one point his voice goes even higher when he says, “We’re not stopping this damn movie!”

Movie and TV show production has resumed in the US with security measures such as required face coverings and social distancing mandates. Even with the guidelines in force, there are still COVID-19 outbreaks.

Last week, 16 cases were recorded at a CBS studio in Los Angeles, according to Variety.

Cruise is a public advocate for the movie industry in the wake of COVID-19’s effect on studios, theaters, and more. During the summer he posted a video on Twitter showing his experience of going to a cinema in the UK to see “Tenet”.

“It’s great to be in a movie theater again, everyone,” he says in the video.
