Tom Cruise reportedly berates ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ crewmembers for violating social distance measures

“I never wanna see it again, never again! And if you don’t you get fired, if I see you do it again you’re fucking gone. And if anyone on this squad does it – that’s it.” , and so do you and you, too, ”you hear Cruise say in The Sun’s exclusive soundtrack.

The rant comes after two crew members reportedly stood within 2 meters (about 6 feet) of each other while on set for the film, the British tabloid reported.

“We’re the gold standard. They’re making movies out there in Hollywood now thanks to us! Because they believe in us and what we do,” you hear Cruise in the audio recording. “We’re creating thousands of jobs, you m * therf ** cherry. I never want to see it again!”

Paramount Pictures is producing the film. It is currently being recorded on the Warner Bros. Studio in Leavesden, Hertfordshire, outside London, where the recording was reportedly made. Warner Bros. is, like CNN, owned by WarnerMedia.

Mission: Impossible 7 had previously faced delays from the Covid-19 pandemic. A three-week shoot was scheduled to take place in Venice, Italy in February, but the country had a spate of coronavirus cases, putting production on hold.

British media reported that 12 members tested positive for Covid-19 on the set in Italy in October.

British media also reported that Cruise has tried to eliminate delays, even paying £ 500,000 ($ 676,000) out of pocket for a ship that could isolate cast and crew during film production.

“You can tell the people who are losing their f ** king houses because our industry is closed. It won’t put food on their table or pay for their college education,” Cruise continued in the audio obtained by The Sun . “I sleep with that every night – the future of this f ** king industry!”

Mission: Impossible 7 is currently being filmed in the UK and will be released in November 2021.

CNN has contacted Cruise’s publicist and Paramount Pictures for comment. The New York Times reports that Paramount declined his request for comment.
