Tigres de la UANL changes its shield for Liga MX’s Clausura 2021

The UANL Tigers will ‘release’ shield for him Closing tournament 2021 of Liga MX which starts January 8, as the Monterrey team is said to have made a ‘minor’ adjustment to the logo official by removing the seven stars from the championships that have been won in history.

The same source assured that this change is due to the Tigers trying to follow the pictorial concepts of the ‘Great of Mexican football’, bearing in mind that neither Pumas nor Club América have any inkling of the titles held by these stars achieved.

Of the 18 teams in Liga MX, Cruz Azul, Santos, León, Monterrey, Pachuca, Necaxa and Xolos are the only clubs to maintain this tradition.

Teams like América, Atlas, Pumas, Puebla, Toluca and Chivas have removed these ‘motifs’ from their shields.

The clubs that don’t have stars but don’t have league championships are San Luis, FC Juárez, Querétaro, Mazatlán FC.
