KSR’s own Matt Jones released a series of tweets on Wednesday afternoon indicating that some changes could be in the works, and things got even more interesting when social media sleuths found out that two of Kentucky’s assistant coaches, Joel Justus and Tony Barbee, are switched. their profiles on Twitter. The Athletic’s Kyle Tucker also kindled the fire a bit, adding that coaching changes are “definitely” on the way.

There are certainly several important steps ahead for the Kentucky basketball coaching staff. Amidst all the recruits, transfers and staff commotion this spring amounts to a major restart of the program for John Calipari.

Digging deeper, Coach Justus appears to have recently changed his profile photo from a photo of himself roaming the sidelines as a Kentucky coach to a picture of him and his girlfriend.
As for Coach Barbee, if you use Twitter on mobile and refresh his page, he (or whoever runs these accounts) appears to have removed the UK logo that used to be his Twitter background, and now leaves it blank.We will keep you informed as soon as any information is released. Let the speculation begin …

In the absence of a dramatic, unexpected change, I expect Kentucky to add two new assistant coaches very soon

[UPDATE] 8:02 PM: Jeff Goodman reports that Tony Barbee could be headed to Central Michigan, while Orlando Antigua is likely to return to Kentucky.

[UPDATE] 8:18 PM: Brad Calipari tweets that he’s “blessed” with a blue heart emoji attached, followed by Matt Jones tweeting that he learns the younger Calipari could join the Kentucky coaching staff.
