Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard on the Stamford Bridge hotseat this week and supervised his first game on Wednesday night, just 48 hours after he joined.

Tuchel told talkSPORT after Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Wolves: “The league itself [excites me], and the club and this league are great.
“In terms of work, I had a beautiful Christmas, and suddenly it feels like I found the best present and forgot the best present under the Christmas tree and it’s there.
“It’s a dream to be in the league with the best teams and best coaches; this is what you dream of and when it comes true it is a great feeling.

“I felt like I couldn’t pass up this opportunity because I would regret it for the rest of my coaching life.

Tuchel’s debut was hardly a classic, as the game with Wolves at Stamford Bridge ended in a stalemate.

But Tuchel was more than pleased with his first impressions on his part.

Tuchel also admitted that he had to limit the amount of information he gave his players with such a short amount of time to work with them.

“It was a very good performance and you want to give a lot of information all the time, but less is more.
