This is what the new Dan and Eleven character selection screen looks like for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition

At least it will be on both sides now

Everyone previously had the impression that Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition would eventually have 45 playable characters in the roster when all is said and done, but now we know that number is actually 46.

Capcom recently announced that shapeshifter Eleven will join the cast at the Winter Update presentation, and they’ve also already revealed what the character select screen will look like when he and Dan are added in the coming days.

Those hoping for some sort of UI overhaul of Arcade Edition’s gold and studio theme will likely be disappointed to see things stay the same for Season 5, which isn’t too surprising considering Champion Edition hasn’t changed it either. However, the players generally seem quite satisfied.

However, it is interesting to note that Eleven will get its own default character slot, despite being a “randomly selected” character, as we have seen in other games such as Mokujin for Tekken.

Bumping into the last number of characters will equalize the number again, so we don’t have to switch to another Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite situation for the rest of the game’s life.

Dan and Eleven will join the game along with the Season 5 update following the Capcom Pro Tour 2020 season finale on February 22, 2021, where the copycat fighter is featured in both versions of the game’s final season pass.
