The president of the republic, Luis Abinader, plans to attend the inauguration of Puerto Rico’s new governor Pedro Pierluisi next Saturday, where he will exhaust an agenda of about four hours.
The presidential delegation will depart from San Isidro Air Base to Fernando Luis Ribas Dominicci Airport, Isla Grande in Puerto Rico, at 8:30 in the morning.
For the The arrival of the president and his committee in the Puerto Rican capital is scheduled for 9:20 AM, San Juan. Fifteen minutes later, they would wait for the group to arrive at the Puerto Rico Capitol.
At 10 AM he will meet with Pierluisi, for half an hour later to start the inauguration ceremony.
This event will consist of a parade of colors, interpretation of the official hymns, the religious invocation of the place, presentation of special guests, the swearing-in of the governor, the speech of the governor and the accompanying military honors.
The above ceremony ends at 12:00 noon. At 12.30 pm Abinader and his committee are expected to board an aircraft, at Fernando Luis Rivas Dominicci Airport, to return to the country.
The head of state’s participation in Pierluisi’s inauguration was announced earlier this week.
Abinader is accompanied by Secretary of State Roberto Alvarez; the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza; his assistants Eylin Beltrán, Mercedes Pichardo and the head of the Corps of Helpers, Celin Rubio.
