Video released Thursday shows a gang breaking into a Harley-Davidson dealership in Indiana, hopping on four expensive bikes – and driving them out the front door.
Dressed in helmets and dark clothing, the brutal bicycle robbery took place in Kokomo on Wednesday at 3:30 am.
“All four people were wearing concealable clothing and motorcycle helmets,” Kokomo police said.
The ready-made thieves chose three Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special models from 2021 and a 2020 version. They are worth an estimated $ 95,000, police said.
The suspects were somehow able to launch the helicopters and drive straight out of the showroom’s main entrance before fleeing south on 931 State Road, investigators said.
Some online sleuths suggested that the break-in seemed like an “inside job” as a thief appeared to be using a key to unlock the front doors and all the suspects seemed to have little trouble starting the stolen rides.
Kokomo police did not respond to questions about possible arrests in the burglary on Friday.
