The Police Commissioner, Henry Escalera, ordered an investigation into an incident in which the director of the Carolina Criminal Investigation Center was registered while demanding preferential treatment at a shopping center.
The video shows the officer arguing with a store employee for telling him he couldn’t park in a red-painted space and immediately afterward, the director began to emphasize his job in an intimidating tone.

“I was immediately aware of the situation, and after seeing the video shared on social networks, I ordered the assistant inspector of professional responsibility to conduct an urgent administrative inquiry,” Escalera said in written statements.
“Behavior as seen in those images is unbearable and unacceptable. Actions like this do not represent the dedication, dedication and good name of the responsible men and women who make up the police station, ”he added.
Likewise, the uniformed leader stressed that the police are currently engaged in a reform process to prevent this kind of abuse of power, and made sure that this behavior “does not contribute to further progress in that process.”
