The Supreme Court authorized the request for the Colombian’s extradition to the United States Jorge Parra Duran for the crime of leaving the scene of a fatality, charged by the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit of the County of Palm tree beach.

The 35-year-old Colombian citizen was arrested in Cali on February 12, 2020, according to Interpol’s red notice. On February 19, he was notified of his arrest with a view to extradition.

After a year, the Supreme Court, with a presentation by Magistrate Diego Eugenio Corredor Beltrán, approved the extradition request.

The citizen abandoned the practice of evidence in the process and accepted the simplified procedure, which accelerated the process for their shipment to the United States.

Now it remains only that the president Ivan Duque sign the extradition for delivery to the United States authorities.
